Portrait-oriented clips: viewer's guide

By default, portrait-oriented clips look on your monitor like this:

While this may not seem bad, this is not the best way to watch portrait-oriented clips, as the image only takes up a part of the screen. To fully enjoy these clips, you need to put your monitor into "portrait mode", by simply rotating it 90 degrees. If your monitor allows this, here's your next step (assuming that you use Windows XP, Vista or Seven and Nvidia graphics card. For ATI/AMD graphics cards the process is very similar). What if my monitor can't be rotated?

Go to "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Nvidia control panel" -> "Display" -> "Rotate display"

Select 90 degree rotation option and click "Apply". This way all Windows interface elements - taskbar, menus, icons and application windows will be displayed correctly while your monitor is in portrait orientation.

After you've successfully enabled the portrait mode, our portrait-oriented clips will fill up the whole screen:

If your monitor doesn't allow rotation,
all you need is a monitor mount. Monitor mounts suit any monitor, replacing its default stand and allowing to securely mount it to a wall or desk, rotate it 360 degrees and adjust its position in every possible way. Just do a quick Google search for desk or wall monitor mount!
